Privacy policy

Internal draft for client and legal review. Items in square brackets must be confirmed before publication.

Who we are

This website is operated by SYNC Energy & Electrical [legal business details to be confirmed] (“we”, “us”). You can contact us about privacy at syncenergy007@gmail.com.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number (optional), suburb, state, postcode, information about your property and any existing system, your preferred timeframe and your message.

We also record technical information to protect the form from abuse and to understand how enquiries reach us: a one-way hashed version of your IP address, your browser type, the page you submitted from and any campaign tags in the link you followed.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare any proposal you request
  • To keep a record of our communication with you
  • To prevent spam and misuse of our website
  • To send occasional updates, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time

Who we share it with

We use service providers to host this website and to deliver email [providers and hosting location to be confirmed]. They handle information on our behalf for these purposes. [Confirm whether information is shared with any other parties, such as equipment suppliers or installers.]

Storage, security and retention

Enquiries are stored in a database accessible only to authorised staff through a password-protected admin area. We keep enquiry records for [retention period to be confirmed; the system default is 24 months] and then delete them, unless we need to keep them longer for a legal or business reason.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep the enquiry form secure. If analytics is enabled, analytics cookies are only set after you accept them, and enquiry details are never sent to analytics providers.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

[Confirm whether the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to the business and adjust this policy accordingly.]
